The APA National Photo Competition is open to all, APA members and non-members.
PLEASE follow these GUIDELINES and IMAGE REQUIREMENTS carefully to ensure proper submission of your entries:
1. All submissions and payments will be accepted online only.
2. There are 8 professional categories and 1 student category:
3. All entries must be recent work (created during or after 2007).
4. There is a limit of 10 Single Image submissions and a limit of 10 Series Image submissions. Students may enter up to 10 submissions in any combination of Single or Series submissions. You may not enter the same image in more than one category. You may not enter an image entered in a previous APA National Photo Competition.
5. A Series entry must include three (and only three) related photographs.
6. The longest side of your image dimensions must not exceed 1024 pixels.
7. Files must be RGB or Grayscale, 72 dpi.
8. Files must be saved as JPEGs at "high" or "maximum" quality.
9. Each file for entry must be titled exactly as indicated below, with CATEGORY, YOUR name, and A, B, C, etc. (for single image entries) or A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, etc. (for series image entries) or your entries may be disqualified:

10. After filling out the online entry form and assembling a gallery for submission on PhotoShelter, the method of payment is via secure online form. You will be directed to the APA PayPal site, but you do not need to have your own PayPal account. You may use any credit or debit card for payment. After successful payment, you will be directed back to the Image Submission page on PhotoShelter to submit your gallery. This completes your submission.
The deadline for entries is October 3, 2009, Midnight EDT
