Digital Workflow and Stock Photography
Digital photography is changing not only our way of capturing images, but it’s altering the speed and manner in which captured images get from the photographer's camera to the buyer - and ultimately the public.
One of the companies that is at the forefront of this revolution is Digital Railroad. Both Christopher Beauchamp, Midwest Sales Manager, and Ric Kasnoff, Senior Director of Professional Imaging at Digital Railroad, will present Digital Workflow Solutions, detailing each step of the digital workflow process with plenty of tips and reference sources. The program includes a discussion on effective and efficient digital workflow, what to keep in mind as you develop yours, and a detailed look at the currently accepted "best practices.”
This seminar will explore how your workflow can easily integrate with Digital Railroad's online delivery and distribution tools to help lower the frustration level and raise the quality of service a photographer can provide to existing clients, while providing the tools and technology to reach a broader audience.
In addition to digital workflow, this seminar will offer an overview of the current climate in the Stock Photo industry, looking at the changes this buying (and selling) model has faced over the years, bringing us to where we are today. Throughout the seminar we will examine the various opportunities that photographers in today’s market have to create new incremental revenue streams.
Featured is Digitalrailroad.net Marketplace (www.digitalrailroad.net), the recently launched and highly acclaimed new image sales service that's poised to turn the industry on its head by returning control, opportunity and profit back into the hands of photographers - where it belongs!
Whether we as pros like it or not, "Stock Photography" has become the major source of imagery for today's photo buyers, designers and art directors, and in order to thrive and survive every pro photographer, no matter what their specialty, needs to understand this market and how they could possibly integrate it into their business model.
Join us for an informative, educational and entertaining evening and find out how you too can maximize the opportunities available in this fast changing, highly competitive market.
There will be drawings for great door prizes (Photoshop CS3, Adobe Lightroom), and those who register for a free 30-day trial membership to Digital Railroad will be entered into another drawing held at the end of the series for additional prizes.
"Digital Railroad is set to be the tool that enables photographers to take control of their very own stock future -- as easy as one, two, three! Cataloging and archiving become a pleasure rather than a chore... AND at the receiving end, the photographers' clients - we the photo editors - get a submission of images that can be edited, shared with other photo editors and art directors, and downloaded in the blink of an eye. Get ready to throw out the old lightboxes!"- Sabine Meyer, Photo Editor, National Geographic (US)
