APA|Atlanta is proud to announce that we are partnering with the
Help-Portrait movement this holiday season. The Help-Portrait movement is:
A movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment,
and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate this holiday season.
APA|Atlanta & Help-Portrait are teaming up to serve the clients of the
Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless. The Metro Task Force serves over 500 men each night, sometimes up to 1000 men, offering them help not only with shelter & food but also with job training & placement, health & vision screenings, photography & art programs, GED classes and more.
Many of these men have no means to send gifts home to their families for the holidays, and in some cases they haven't seen their families in years. So we are giving them the opportunity to send home portraits of themselves to their families.
APA|Atlanta, in conjunction with Help-Portrait, will be shooting portraits on December 12th at the Metro Task Force's Art Studio in their facility at
477 Peachtree Street NE. Our goal is to serve at least 150 of the Task Force's clients, offering them each a small something to help them celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. We will be offering not only portraits to the Task Force's clients, but we also hope to provide the envelope & shipping of the portraits -
completely free of charge. It is our gift to the Metro Task Force and to these individuals.
