The medium of motion is exploding.
Is confusion keeping you from jumping into the game?
Deanne Delbridge presents an evening of possibilities that will explain the categories of motion, what you need to get started, and show you how markets are expanding — all with exciting visuals. You will see examples of eight distinct levels of motion — from simple ‘animatics’ to feature film — and choose which level you want to play on. Learn about exciting new technologies and how they are creating more need for imagery, and understand why every photographer can be doing motion on some level starting now.
Mark Rutherford will explain team structure from solo to crew and how your place in the production impacts rights and ownership. Joe Seif clarifies how motion requires ‘shooting for the edit’ plus techniques for green screen and filmmaking concepts such as ‘matched-action’ and ‘continuity.’ Po Chan writer & director of The Last 3 Minutes by Shane Hurlbut, cinematographer will discuss the process of narrative filmmaking.
Each participant will leave with a free handout showing what you need to know for each stage of your motion exploration including referrals. The evening presentation will be followed by a series of six one-day workshops on the most important aspects of motion production.
